Thank you for supporting the modo community. This community is one of the most fullfilling aspects of our work here at Luxology. The modo 103 update is a direct result of your continued support and feedback. The improvements made to modo for this release are a direct result of the feedback and reports we have receieved from users.
The goal for modo 103 is to make modo an even more robust prodution environment. We have managed to find and kill several reproducible issues which has resulted in an incredibly stable product. In an effort to balance timeliness of release and the number of enhancements we are able to make, there may be some remaining issues in 103. Our goal is to fix any major known crashing bugs and to make sure we have not introduced any new bugs with these changes. In other words, all steps must be forward and none back. Additionally we want to compile a list of known issues so that if there are any remaining "niggles" that must be left behind. This way we can at least provide the user with alternative steps or ways to avoid these issues. This is where you come in.
The public beta release is here to ensure that we have not created any new bugs and to confirm that all major bugs have been killed. To maintain the high level of code integrity we must throughly test each and every change made to the code base. This means that even the smallest change can delay a final release. In order to guarantee a timely final release we only plan to fix major crashing bugs that occur regularly and any significant bugs in 103 that were NOT in 102 (bugs introduced by 103 changes). Additionally we want to leverage the public beta to help us create our known issues list for the read me. If you find any thing that fits into these categories please post your findings on this forum so that we can clean them up or add them to the list.
