A new tool for Lightwave3D and PresetCentral
Let the rumours begin
[Logo]
Daily updates on what you can do with the tool until it’s release in late September. Pssst it’s name is plant… psplant!
---
PSPlant fact no. 1
The tool talks the same language PresetCentral does.
Ed: “Can you be any more vague?!”
Ok, ok,… here’s some more. It talks directly to PresetCentral in its own language to do its magic. There happy now? I don’t want to give the game away numbnuts!
Ed: “Yes, thanks!”

PSPlant fact no. 2
PSPlant will allow you to modify your presets without Lightwave3D. You can change the name, description, comments and even the thumbnail, but more on that later.
---
PSPlant fact no. 3
PSPlant will allow you to pick a preset on PresetCentral and use it within Lightwave3D with a single click.
---
PSPlant fact no. 4
PSPlant will allow you to tag your presets before sharing them on PresetCentral.com.
You can tag them by entering some pre-defined text in the comments field or/and add an image tag to the thumbnail.
After all you want people to know who’s presets they are using!!
---
PSPlant fact no. 5
PSPlant will use the same authentication mechanism as the main PresetCentral.com website.
This means your account on PresetCentral.com will also work on PSPlant. Its easy, one account, one password to remember!
---
PSPlant fact no. 6
PSPlant will allow you to share your presets with fellow Lightwavers either individually or in batches. Cool huh?
---
PSPlant fact no. 7
PSPlant is clever enough to know where to store your presets when downloaded so you can use them straight away.
---
PSPlant fact no. 8
PSPlant will allow you to subscribe to a user’s presets OR a particular series of presets and download them automatically for you.
E.g. subscribe to DigiFreak’s explosion series of HyperVoxels presets and PSPlant will make sure you have the latest version ready to use in Lightwave3D. Cool huh?
---
PSPlant fact no. 9
PSPlant will have a SOAP XML API available to plugin developers to integrate in their own plugins. Just imagine being able to download presets based on a search from within Dynamite or IFW!
Naturally the above is speculative
